Do I Qualify?
To qualify for WIC a person must be in one of the following categories:

A pregnant woman
-
A woman who was pregnant within the past 6 months

A woman who is breastfeeding a baby under 1 year of age

A baby or child from birth to his or her fifth birthday**

** Babies and children cared for by either: single father, grandparent, foster parent, step-parent, or guardian of the child will be eligible to receive benefits.

AND
A WIC applicant’s household must also meet Income Guidelines. A person may also qualify if they receive Medi-Cal, CalWorks (TANF) or CalFresh (SNAP) benefits.

How Do I Enroll?
Step 1:
Talk to a WIC representative to see if you qualify for the WIC Program. Please call us at 1-888-999-6897 or complete the eligibility screening request form below.
Step 2:
If you qualify for the WIC program, the WIC representative will schedule an enrollment appointment for you at one of our 11 locations
Step 3:
Attend your enrollment appointment with the paperwork needed to verify your eligibility.
What Documentation Will New Applicants Need?
To enroll in WIC you will need to provide proof of income, address, identification and proof of pregnancy (if applicable). Below are examples of acceptable documents:

Proof of Income (Gross amount [before taxes are taken out]) for the ENTIRE household.

Income Tax Return if Self Employed

Pay Stub for Wages or Salaries

Unemployment Benefits

Proof of active enrollment in other programs (example: Medi-Cal card or a letter from CalFresh or TANF) can qualify you for WIC

A Leave and Earnings Statement (LES)*

* WIC does not include Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) for military families
