How do I find my food balance before I shop?

Use the free WIC phone app on your smartphone. ( Apple / Android)

Look at your store receipt from your last shopping trip. (Your receipt shows what you have left in your WIC Food Balance. All family benefits are combined. The receipt shows the last day you can buy the rest of your WIC foods. Your WIC Food Balance will expire at midnight on that day).

Ask a cashier or customer service person at the store to print your WIC Food Balance.

Where can I find the start and end dates of my family’s food benefits?

You can find your benefit dates within your CA WIC App.

If you receive a print out from your WIC office, that paper will let you know of your dates to spend.

Once you know your dates, make sure you add them to your calendar.
Can I share my CA WIC Card pin with anyone?
We recommend you keep your pin safe and only give it out to family members you trust. If you lose benefits because someone bought them without your authorization, we unfortunately can’t add those benefits back onto your card.
What can I do if I forgot my pin number?
Call the toll-free number on the back of your card for help.
Remember, if you enter your pin incorrectly at the store after 4 tries, your WIC Card will be locked and you will not be able to get your WIC foods.
What happens if I have issues at the store?
Ask to speak to a manager to see if they are able to assist you with the issue at hand.
