San Diego State University Research Foundation (SDSURF) is proud to offer the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) funded Women, Infants & Children (WIC) supplemental foods program to qualifying families.The WIC Program provides pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to 5 years old with checks for healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and health care referrals.
SDSURF has been providing San Diego County with WIC services since 1996. Today the SDSURF is contracted by the California Department of Public Health to offer WIC to more than 35,000 individuals each month through its 11 WIC offices in the San Diego region.
